Abstract

The article presents discographic material of performers related to
Silesia: composers, soloists, ensembles, choirs and orchestras. The
author describes the difficult situation of phonography in post-war
times and the fate of private labels during communist rule. The article includes review of gramophone records released from 1945 to the
1990s., representing various musical genres (including classical music, jazz, blues, rock, rock and roll).
